Now Hiring: Sportsman’s Programs Specialist
The Georgia Wildlife Federation’s Sportsman’s Programs Specialist assists in all events (in-person and virtual), campaigns, and activities related to fundraising and awareness. Events range from small peer-to-peer fundraising events to large tradeshows and will include managing logistics, marketing, materials, and timelines to ensure all activities are a success.
Responsibilities include, (but are not limited to):
- Serve as point of contact for inquiries related to GWF fundraising and awareness; Work with all fundraisers to ensure that events and campaigns are successful and reflect the organization’s mission and values.
- Assist with all fundraising dinner, activities and auction events. Responsibilities include: location management, coordinating outreach, registration, sponsorship, volunteers, fundraising efforts, table sales, manage communications, materials, logistics, and day-of event needs for each event.
- Assist with the annual Buckarama and Fisharama/Turkeyrama Tradeshow events. Responsibilities include: location management, coordinating outreach, registration, sponsorship, volunteers, fundraising efforts, booth sales, manage communications, materials, logistics, and day-of event needs for each event.
- Collaborate with internal marketing team to create content for materials and communications related to all fundraising and initiatives. Content may include (but not limited to): emails, advertisements, flyers, invitations, website, social media posts, radio advertisements, and newsletters.
- Assist in maintaining GWF’s fundraising software, database (The Databank), website, and other systems to ensure information related to fundraising is accurate and up-to-date.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent – minimum requirement; Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience preferred
- Marketing/Sales experience or related education preferred
- Participation in outdoors activities including hunting and/or angling desirable
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise:
- Experience managing events and/or coordinating fundraising efforts strongly preferred
- Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills
- Flexible, team player who is service-oriented with high-level interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with all levels of co-workers, including assistants, staff, senior management and volunteers
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong aptitude to learn other software systems
- Social media engagement and marketing
Special Expectations
- Responsibilities of the role include travel and weekend or night work
- Facilities maintenance work may be included upon request
