OPEN HOUSE WEEK

As part of Georgia Wildlife Federation’s 90th Anniversary celebration, we invite you to drop in the week of July 13 – 17 at the Alcovy Conservation Center headquarters in Covington. Learn more about our conservation programs, browse through memorabilia, talk a walk on the trails, and pick up an anniversary lapel pin.

BUCKARAMA

August 14 - 16, Perry

The Buckarama weekend brings together hunters from across Georgia and the Southeast to “talk shop” with vendors, listen to seminars from outdoor professionals, and peruse the latest and greatest hunting supplies. For many, the show is now a tradition and a signal that hunting season is just around the corner.

SPORTSMAN’S DINNER & AUCTION

August 27, Covington

 Join the Georgia Wildlife Federation for an evening of barbecue, raffles, auctions, and conservation. Proceeds support GWF’s wildlife conservation, outdoor education, advocacy, and hunting heritage programs throughout Georgia.

ARCHERY SHOOT BENEFITTING ARTEMIS GA

August 29 - 30, Shady Dale

Join Artemis Georgia for a Hunt-Style Archery Shoot open to archers of all ages and skill levels. Enjoy a fun day on the range while supporting the Artemis Georgia program, which provides educational workshops, mentored hunting opportunities, shooting sports instruction, and outdoor experiences for women across Georgia.

MCLEMORE COVE DINNER & AUCTION

September 12, Chickamauga

Join the Georgia Wildlife Federation for an evening of great food, raffles, auctions, and fellowship with fellow sportsmen and women. This annual fundraising event features exciting prizes, unique outdoor opportunities, and plenty of chances to support conservation while enjoying time with friends and family. Proceeds benefit GWF’s Camo Coalition and other conservation, education, and outdoor heritage programs across Georgia.

CHATTAHOOCHEE SPORTSMAN’S SOCIAL

September 17, Columbus

Enjoy an evening of food, fellowship, raffles, and auctions while supporting the Georgia Wildlife Federation. Proceeds benefit GWF conservation, education, hunting heritage, and advocacy programs that help protect Georgia’s wildlife and natural resources.

RIVERS ALIVE – NEWTON COUNTY

September TBD, Covington

Join the Georgia Wildlife Federation and community partners for Rivers Alive, an annual volunteer cleanup event dedicated to protecting Georgia’s lakes, rivers, and streams. Volunteers of all ages and group sizes are welcome to help remove litter, improve water quality, and make a positive impact on local waterways.

SOUTHEAST GA SPORTSMAN’S SOCIAL

October 1, Statesboro

The Southeast Georgia Sportsman’s Social brings together outdoor enthusiasts, conservation supporters, and community members for an evening of food, fellowship, raffles, and auctions. Proceeds support the Georgia Wildlife Federation’s conservation, education, hunting heritage, and outdoor recreation programs throughout Georgia.

RIVERS ALIVE – MILL CREEK

October TBD, Buford

Join volunteers at Mill Creek Nature Center for Rivers Alive, an annual conservation workday focused on improving wildlife habitat and protecting local natural resources. Participants help remove invasive plant species, restore native habitats, and make a lasting impact on this unique urban greenspace while learning more about conservation in action.

FISHARAMA/TURKEYRAMA

February 5-7, Perry

Fisharama/Turkeyrama is Georgia Wildlife Federation’s annual celebration of fishing, turkey hunting, and the outdoor lifestyle. This family-friendly event brings together anglers, hunters, exhibitors, and conservation supporters for a weekend of shopping, seminars, demonstrations, and the latest gear and equipment. Proceeds help support GWF’s conservation, education, and outdoor heritage programs across Georgia.

CAMO COALITION DINNER & AUCTION

March 13, Kennesaw

Join the Georgia Wildlife Federation for an evening of great food, fellowship, raffles, and auctions with fellow sportsmen, women, and conservation supporters. Featuring firearms, outdoor gear, unique experiences, and other exciting prizes, this annual fundraiser helps support GWF’s Camo Coalition and other conservation programs that protect Georgia’s wildlife, natural resources, and outdoor traditions.

CLAY SHOOT FOR CONSERVATION

April 16, Mansfield

Join the Georgia Wildlife Federation for the Shoot for Conservation, a sporting clays fundraiser that combines friendly competition with support for wildlife conservation. Whether participating as an individual or team, shooters will enjoy a day on the course while helping fund GWF programs that protect Georgia’s wildlife, natural resources, hunting heritage, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

EARTH DAY AT MILL CREEK

Celebrate Earth Day by volunteering at Mill Creek Nature Center and helping improve wildlife habitat through hands-on conservation work. KEEPING GA WILD OUTDOOR FESTIVAL

May 15, Mansfield

The Keeping Georgia Wild Family Festival is a free, family-friendly event that introduces people of all ages to Georgia’s wildlife, natural resources, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Through hands-on activities, educational exhibits, live demonstrations, and interactive experiences, participants can discover new ways to enjoy the outdoors while learning about conservation and wildlife stewardship.
