Continues Designation as a “Give with Confidence” Charity
Covington – The Georgia Wildlife Federation (GWF) is proud to announce that it has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator, recognizing its strong financial health, accountability, and transparency. This prestigious rating, maintained since 2016, designates GWF as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, signifying the effective use of donations based on Charity Navigator’s criteria. Charity Navigator is the largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator in the U.S., providing unbiased information to over 11 million donors annually since 2001.
Charity Navigator evaluates nonprofit performance using four key indicators, known as beacons: Impact & Results, Accountability & Finance, Culture & Community, and Leadership & Adaptability.
“We are delighted to provide GWF with third-party accreditation that validates their operational excellence,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “The Four-Star Rating is the highest possible rating an organization can achieve. We are eager to see the good work that GWF is able to accomplish in the years ahead.”
“Our Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator further validates that our supporters can trust our commitment to good governance and financial health,” said Mike Worley, GWF President and CEO. “We hope this recognition will introduce our work to new supporters who can help us advance our mission to keep Georgia wild.”
GWF aims to increase outdoor participation through activities like hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and camping. The organization also has a strong presence during the Legislative Session to help ensure the health of our great state’s land, water, and wildlife, while also advocating on behalf of all Georgians for opportunities to enjoy these natural areas.
