Venison is the ultimate high-protein, low-fat, organic meat. YOU CAN HELP get this quality protein from the woods, to a local foodbank, and onto the tables of those in your community that need it most. Participate by:
- Donating a deer to a participating processor near you.
- Donating to GWF or becoming a sponsor. A $15 gift will process enough venison for 24 meals.
- Promoting the program and identifying new processors in underserved areas.
The Georgia Hunters for the Hungry Program is expanding!
We are in need of additional processors from across the state to reach our goal of 140,000 pounds processed by the end of the 2025-2026 season. Processing rate is $2.50 per pound. Please help us spread the word. Interested processors can APPLY ONLINE. Contact Adam Schiavone for more information.
Hunters interested in participating in the GHFTH program can bring field-dressed deer to any of the designated drop-off locations during the processor’s normal business hours.

Since 1993, hunters have been bringing meat to the tables of those in need through the Georgia Hunters for the Hungry program.
