Venison is the ultimate high-protein, low-fat, organic meat. YOU CAN HELP get this quality protein from the woods, to a local foodbank, and onto the tables of those in your community that need it most. Participate by:
- Donating a deer to a participating processor near you.
- Donating to GWF or becoming a sponsor. A $15 gift will process enough venison for 40 meals.
- Promoting the program and identifying new processors in underserved areas.

Hunters interested in participating in the GHFTH program can bring field-dressed deer to any of the designated drop-off locations between October 21, 2023 – January 14, 2024 (during normal business hours) during hunting season.

2022-23 Summary:
Thank you to all of our sponsors, hunters, and processors for the 2022-2023 hunting season. Together, we provided 4,791 pounds of venison to Georgia food banks and fed approximately 19,164 high-quality, protein-rich meals to Georgians in need. Twelve processors across the state participated in the program.

Since 1993, hunters have been bringing meat to the tables of those in need through the Georgia Hunters for the Hungry program. Georgia Wildlife Federation has been a sponsor of GHFTH since it began by assisting in promoting the program and raising funds to pay processors for venison delivered to food banks.
