Artemis Georgia – Fall Fish Camp
August TBD
Frank Gross Recreation Area, Suches, GA
Fish, Hike, Camp, Repeat! The ladies of Artemis GA will setup base camp at the Frank Gross Recreation Area. DAY 1: We’ll kick off the event with a special treat and talk fishing, fish habitat, and all things fish with Kelly Taylor, Project Leader and Hatchery Manager for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Kelly will give us a personal tour of the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery he manages in Suches. Then, we’ll take the information we learned at the hatchery to some nearby streams where the true anglers among our group will have the chance to reel in our supper!  DAY 2: We’ll hike a portion of the historic Benton Mackeye Trail overflowing with scenic and wildlife views. Our destination for the day will be the picturesque and serene Toccoa River Swinging Bridge. Dates, details, and registration will be posted when available. Contact Olivia at oliviamenard@mail.com for more information.
