Georgia R3 Initiative
The GA R3 Initiative is a cooperative effort hosted by GWF and supported by GA DNR Wildlife Resources Division, the National Wild Turkey Federation the GA Chapter of Safari Club International and Ducks Unlimited. The Initiative is made up of stakeholders from across the state who have a vested interest in the goals of hunter, angler, shooting sport participant recruitment, retention and reactivation. The State R3 Coordinator, Bre Bashford employed by GWF, guided by national research and a big picture vision, facilitates program innovation, fosters community support structures and acts as a resource for all R3 programs and new outdoor enthusiasts in Georgia.
Join us to discuss existing efforts and needs in the realm of hunter, angler, and shooting sports recruitment, retention and reactivation. You’ll even have the chance to step up to the mic for rapid fire, R3 Minutes, short presentations to share your story! Plus, opportunities to engage in existing initiatives and tools to enhance your current work.

Initiative Goals
Background information and the suggested strategies, actions, and tasks to accomplish these goals are defined in the Georgia R3 Action Plan Summer 2023 Version. R3 Working Group
To increase and diversify participation in hunting and the shooting sports, passionate conservationists meet every other month to combine efforts and influence R3 change in Georgia.
